How to open the bonnet of a Smart Fortwo for maintenance and top-ups? Follow these steps for maintenance. Open the plastic levers located on either side of the front grille. Once the catches at the front are released, push down on the bonnet panel with your hands; detach it from the bodywork as shown in the video. Once the piece is removed, carry out maintenance on your car. To reassemble: hold the plastic cover at the front of the nose with your hands and slide it upwards. Finally, close the bonnet locking levers.
