In today's tutorial video, you will learn how to remove and replace the shock absorbers on a Smart Fortwo 451. First, remove the wheel from the affected side and lift the car with a hydraulic jack. Next, open the bonnet and use a socket spanner to unscrew the upper bolt of the shock absorber.

Once done, remove the support bracket and rubber, then take off the nut of the shock absorber connected to the arm. At this point, you can remove the shock absorber and replace it with a new one: follow the video to the end for further clarifications.
