Removing the Front Bumper on a Smart 450

Model: Smart Smart 450 - Years 1998-2007

By opening the two doors, you will notice that on the front pillars where they close, there are four screws on each side that you need to unscrew. Remove the triangular plastic pieces at the top of the pillars, near the windows, by unscrewing the single screw that holds them in place. Once this plastic is removed, unscrew the exposed Torx T25 screw and remove the underlying plate. Dismantle the lower front grille by releasing the clips with a flat screwdriver, then unscrew the screws underneath. At this point, you can remove the bumper: first pull from the side areas, above the wheels, then from the central area.
