How to Remove the EGR Valve from a Smart ForTwo

Before you can start, open the rear hatch of your Smart ForTwo to access the engine compartment. Begin by disconnecting the metal fittings connected to the EGR valve by unscrewing the bolts that secure them. Next, disconnect the relevant electrical connectors. At this point, unscrew and remove the bolts that secure the valve to its mounting. This will free the EGR valve. Once you have completed this step, you can remove the EGR valve from your Smart ForTwo, successfully completing the disassembly.
