Replacing the Third Brake Light Bulb on a Smart Car

Today, we will show you a quick and easy maintenance task: replacing the central stop light bulb on a Smart car. Start by removing the outer cover of the light unit; simply unscrew the two small screws that secure it to the bodywork. At this point, the light will come out of its housing, and you can disconnect it from the connector (unscrew slightly from behind), completely removing the light unit. Now you can extract the bulb and insert the new one. Reinsert the bulb and connector into the light unit and reassemble it by screwing in the two screws.
