Turbo Replacement on Smart Fortwo

Let's see how to remove the turbo from a Smart Fortwo. Lift the vehicle with a jack to access the underside of the rear engine compartment, remove the soundproofing panel from under the engine compartment (if available), unscrew the fastening bolts of the turbo (located in the engine compartment) with a socket wrench, remove the valve from the engine seat and disconnect the various feed connectors with a screwdriver or needle-nose pliers. After comparing the damaged valve with the new one, install it on the engine block located in the compartment, tighten securely with the bolts. After completing the assembly of the parts, all that remains is to test the turbo.
