This guide explains how to remove and replace the turbocharger in a Smart Fortwo 0.8 CDI. First, open the rear hatch and begin unscrewing the fastening screws located on the sides and brackets, then remove the rear bumper. Next, remove the horizontal frame bar, as illustrated in the video. Disconnect the exhaust manifold from the turbocharger by unscrewing the fastening screws; unscrew the screws from the turbocharger and disconnect the Wastegate valve, then remove the turbocharger. Reassemble everything by following the reverse procedure!
