In this video, you will see how to remove the driver’s side door panel of the first series Smart. Start by removing the deflector, then unscrew the screws found in the available space, remembering to disconnect the power connectors. Now remove the rubber seal. Next, unscrew the two screws in the door panel that hold the external handle in place, then pull the outer panel of the door towards you. Remove the handle socket. Now go back inside and unclip the internal handle. Proceed to replace the socket and then reassemble the panel.
