In this short guide, you will learn how to remove and replace the rear light bulbs on the Smart Fortwo, following the instructions below. First, open the tailgate and remove the side plastic cover.

Then, disconnect the electrical connector for the light bulbs, and extract the entire bulb holder as shown in the video. Now, replace any faulty bulbs with new ones of the correct type; insert them properly into the bulb holder and reassemble the rear light unit!
