To replace the shock absorbers on the Smart 451, lift the car so that the wheel corresponding to the shock absorber to be removed can be completely taken off. Once the wheel is removed, loosen the bolts securing the shock absorber at the top and at the bottom, near the hub. When the shock absorber is free, extract it completely from its housing to insert a new one. After installation, remount the corresponding wheel.
