How to Reset the Service on a Smart Forfour

Model: Smart Forfour W454, MK 1 - Years 2004-2006

To reset the service on the Smart Forfour, first note that there is a spanner symbol displayed on the left screen. To perform the reset, at the back of the left dial, press and hold the "A" button (the one on the left) and turn on the ignition; hold the "A" button for about 10 seconds until the spanner light on the left display goes off and another symbol lights up. When the spanner light goes off and the other symbol lights up, you can switch off the ignition. When you turn the vehicle or the ignition back on, you will see that the spanner light has gone out, indicating that the reset was successful.
