How to Replace the Shock Absorbers on a Smart 451

First, prepare all the necessary materials for the job. Lift the car with a jack and place something to keep it elevated for working underneath. Remove the wheel using the appropriate socket. Now, remove the plastic cover located inside the wheel arch. To do this, unscrew a series of bolts with the suitable spanner. Using the hydraulic jack, slightly lift the wheel so that the shock absorber is not under tension. Unscrew the bolt that secures the shock absorber at the top. Remove the cover from the bolt that secures the bottom and unscrew it with the appropriate spanner. At this point, you can extract the old shock absorber from its position and replace it with the new one.
