Today's guide will illustrate the steps to remove and replace the battery on a Smart Fortwo. First, open the front passenger door and start removing the carpet lining and floor mat; you will find the battery underneath, as shown in the video. Next, unscrew the screws of the central fixing bracket, then disconnect both battery terminals (positive and negative); then remove and replace the battery with a new one of the correct type and the same amperage, reconnecting it!
