Replacing the battery of a Smart Fortwo? Let's see how to remove the battery. Open the passenger side door and remove the carpet covering from the floor, then remove the battery cover panel.

Once the dedicated compartment is open, you will find the battery. Unscrew the securing bolts of the battery terminals, then remove it from the compartment.

Insert a new battery into the container, tighten the terminal screws. Cover the battery with the cover and finally with the carpet.

Start the vehicle with the key and check the operation.
