Below are the step-by-step instructions to remove and replace the battery in the Smart Fortwo. First, open the front bonnet of your car and start by disconnecting both battery terminals (positive and negative); then, undo the screw of the bracket found at the bottom, removing and replacing the battery with a new one, as shown in the video.

At this point, install the correct type of battery with the same amperage as the original, reconnect the electrical connections, and refit the front bumper!
