How to Change the Battery of the Smart Fortwo

Is the battery of your Smart Fortwo due for replacement? Here’s how to change it. The battery is located under the dashboard (passenger side). Lift the mat covering the car's frame. You will find the plastic cover. Remove the cover and locate the battery, unscrew the power terminals with a socket wrench and extract the faulty battery. Install the new battery in the housing (same size), tighten the terminals to the battery with the appropriate wrench, and close with the covering and the mat. Test if the car works.
