Replacing the Cabin Air Filter on Smart 451

Replacing the cabin air filter is extremely simple, much like all maintenance tasks on this car model; you do not need to disassemble anything as the filter is located just behind the centre console and can be accessed from the driver's side. The cap of the cabin air filter container is located right next to the accelerator pedal. Simply unclip the two plastic tabs to remove it and extract the old filter. Ensure there are no dirt residues inside the container and insert the new filter (activated carbon is recommended), then reposition the cap.
