In this guide, we will discover the steps necessary to replace the transmission oil of the Smart Fortwo, following the instructions below. First, let's locate the rear differential transmission; then, using a torx key, we unscrew the oil fill and drain plugs of the gearbox, allowing the fluid to drain into a container for about ten minutes, as shown in the video. At this point, we perform a refill with new gearbox oil; we pour the appropriate oil, with the specifications indicated in the user manual, ensuring the correct quantity is poured!
