Have you ever wondered how a differential works? This YouTuber shows us in detail. It consists of a pinion, directly connected to the driveshaft, which in turn rotates the crown: the crown is connected to the differential housing. Inside the housing, there are two gears known as "satellites", which are connected to each other by a pin called the "satellite carrier". When the crown rotates, the satellites rotate around the same axis, but they can also rotate on their own axis. The satellites can be two or four, allowing for even distribution of force. The satellites, in turn, are connected to two other gears, called "planetary gears", which connect one to the right driveshaft and the other to the left.
