How does a limited slip differential LSD work?

In this video we see how a limited slip differential LSD works and why it would be important to have it installed on our car: in a standard differential, the driving torque is distributed equally to the two wheels of an axle. This means that if one wheel encounters a low traction surface and starts to slip, the other wheel, even if it has traction, will receive little or no torque, compromising traction. The LSD (limited slip differential) is designed to limit this problem. When one wheel starts to rotate faster than the other due to a loss of traction, the LSD intervenes, transferring some of the torque to the wheel with greater traction. This improves traction and vehicle stability. There are various types of this mechanism, each with its own operation: friction, bevel gear and Torsen where a system of planetary gears is used to distribute torque more precisely and continuously.
