Today we will see the guide that will allow us to disassemble and replace the starter motor of the Smart Fortwo. First of all, we open the rear hatch and start disassembling and removing the bumper; then we remove the right front wheel and remove the belt cover. At this point, we disconnect the intercooler sleeve, removing the small radiator; then we unscrew the fixing screws of the starter motor, disconnect the electrical connector to remove it and replace it with the new one. All that's left is to reassemble everything, applying the reverse process of disassembly!

Unlatch and lift the hood, then you will need to remove all the parts above the area where you will be working. As shown in the video, you can remove the screws to take off the upper panels.
