How do you replace the V-belt of the Smart Forfour?

Model: Smart Forfour MK 1, W454 - Years 2004-2006

In order to replace the serpentine belt of the Smart Forfour, you need to loosen the screws that secure the front wheel to its housing, and then remove the inner lining of the wheel arch: here it will be possible to remove the serpentine belt from its pulleys and the alternator. This way, you can position the new replacement part to ensure it rotates correctly. Once the new serpentine belt has been inserted, you can proceed to reassemble all the components that were previously removed.
