How to Replace the Rear Shock Absorber on a Smart

Lift the car with a jack and place it on axle stands for easier access, then remove the wheel of the shock absorber in question. Next, remove the inner wing covers by taking out the clips and bolts that secure the inner wing. Once done, remove the entire piece. Now go to the bottom of the shock absorber and remove the bolts that secure the lower part, allowing you to completely remove and extract the shock absorber body.
