In this guide we will see step by step instructions on how to perform the ordinary maintenance service, replacing the engine oil and oil filter, of the Smart Fortwo. First, lift the vehicle and start draining the engine oil, letting it drain into a container for about ten minutes; then unscrew the oil filter cartridge using the appropriate wrench, replacing it with the new original one and replacing the gasket, as shown in the video. At this point, top up with the new engine oil, until reaching the maximum level mark!
