Air filter replacement for Smart 450

Model: Smart Smart 450 - Years 1998-2007

To replace the air filter that feeds the injection system of the Smart 450 engine, we open the rear hood, lift the lining, unscrew the screw that locks the engine partition and remove it. We find the filter box on our left, with the help of a screwdriver we release the four clips on the sides of the cover and remove it. We release the block that secures the cylindrical filter and remove it, clean the inside of the box with a vacuum cleaner, insert the new filter and lock it, put back the cover, attach the clips, reassemble the partition and the lining.
