In this tutorial, you will learn how to remove and replace the timing belt on a Subaru XV 2.0L Diesel. Open and lift the bonnet, then remove the protective cover of the timing belt and alternator by unscrewing the fixing screws; next, loosen the tensioner with a socket spanner and remove the timing belt as shown in the video.

Now replace it with a new one of the correct type, ensuring it is fitted in the correct direction, always adjusting the tensioner during installation; finally, refit the cover and you're done!
