Replacing the Cabin Air Filter on a Subaru

The following instructions show how to replace a cabin air filter on a vehicle from the Japanese manufacturer. The pollen filter is located in the cabin behind the glove compartment, so to access it, open the passenger side door, open the glove compartment, and unclip the side support pins to fully open it and pull it towards you. Behind the glove compartment, you can locate the compartment containing the filter; proceed to remove the plastic cover by pulling it towards you and then extract the filter itself. Take the new filter and position it in the housing, then close the compartment cover and reassemble the glove compartment.
