In this video, you can see how to replace the battery in a Subaru Outback, a very simple and quick operation. First, ensure the key is not in the ignition, then open the bonnet and connect the terminals of a jump battery to the car's terminals. Once done, disconnect the battery terminals by loosening the two nuts with a 10mm spanner and unscrew the lower securing bolt using the same 10mm spanner. Finally, move the upper bracket, remove the old battery, and fit the replacement by following the exact reverse procedure. Reconnect the positive terminal first, then the negative terminal.
