How to Replace the Key Battery on the Subaru Ascent

If you need to replace the remote key battery on this vehicle, follow the simple instructions below and check out the tutorial video as well. First, extract the emergency key by pressing the small button located behind the remote. Then, use a small screwdriver to pry in the gap between the remote and the remote cover to remove the cover. Under the cover, you will find the battery compartment, which you will extract using the screwdriver and replace with the new CR 2032 model. Finally, close the rear cover of the remote and reinsert the emergency key.
