Replacing Rear Brake Pads

Model: Subaru Impreza MK 4 - Years 2011-2016
Part: Brake pads

To replace the rear brake pads, it is advisable to loosen the wheel fastening bolts before lifting the vehicle. Once lifted and secured on appropriate car stands, complete the wheel removal. To remove the old pads, it is not necessary to completely disassemble the caliper; simply unscrew the lower pin and rotate it using the upper one as a hinge: to facilitate this operation, remove the brake pipe retaining clip. Once the old pads are removed, fit the new ones, retract the caliper piston with a C-clamp, and refit it in its place by tightening the respective fastening pin and the brake pipe support clip.
