Operation: How do you replace the cabin filter of the Subaru Ascent?

The replacement of the cabin filter on the Subaru Ascent is done by opening the glove compartment on the front passenger side: once the compartment is open, you will be able to locate the two side hooks that secure it. Once these have been detached, you can remove the compartment and locate the filter cover: this will also need to be detached, by pulling the filter out from inside its housing. After removing the old filter, you can insert the new one, so that the cover and corresponding compartment can be reinserted.
