First of all, make sure that the surface of the cylinder head and the engine block is perfectly clean and free of residues from the old gasket. Never use metal tools to avoid scratches. Use a specific solvent to degrease. Check with a straight edge and a feeler gauge that the cylinder head and engine block are perfectly flat (usually the tolerance is 0.05 mm). The gasket should be installed without using sealant, insert it respecting the orientation (usually there is the inscription "front" or "up" facing upwards). Carefully place the cylinder head to avoid moving the gasket; follow the recommended tightening sequence, which is usually crosswise: use a torque wrench. Reassemble the accessories, installing shafts, belts, manifolds, cables and everything that was removed. Refill engine oil and coolant. Start the engine and check for any leaks.
