To access it, you need to remove any diesel pipes or cables that obstruct it, but it is easily visible once the pump is located.

The part number is usually Delphi 9109-903, but it is best to verify for the specific model/year. The regulator is a dosage valve at the inlet.

If the regulator is failing, you may experience: the engine occasionally not starting, a persistent buzzing noise (which is suspicious if accompanied by engine errors), and the engine warning light illuminated.
