Removing the Tailgate Handle on a Suzuki Grand Vitara

Model: Suzuki Grand Vitara MK 1 - Years 1999-2005
Part: Handle

First, detach the tailgate panel, which is simply clipped in place: use a plastic trim tool or a small flat screwdriver to gradually unclip it from the door. At this point, move the underlying cover just enough to access the inside of the handle. In this area, unscrew the four nuts present, and you will see that the handle is no longer secured. You can then pull it out by hand, or assist with the trim tool, and proceed to fit the new handle by clipping it in place and tightening the rear nuts.
