How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Suzuki Grand Vitara 1.9 DDiS

This guide shows how to replace the timing belt on a Suzuki Grand Vitara 1.9 DDiS. In the video, you can see the engine removed from its bay, but the operation can be performed without removing it from the bonnet. First, access the belt by removing the cover that protects it. Once in front of the mechanism, as shown in the video, loosen the tensioner. When it is loosened, you can easily slide in/out the new timing belt. Once inserted, proceed to tighten the previously loosened tensioner and insert the other tensioner that was removed to facilitate the operation, tightening the side screw, as shown at minute 3:15, to apply the correct tension.
