To disable Hill Descent Control on the Suzuki Vitara, turn on the instrument panel by inserting the ignition key into the corresponding slot. Once the panel is on, locate the button with the icon of a car descending, found on the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel.

Pressing this button will illuminate the warning light on the instrument panel indicating the system is disabled; once disabled, you can reactivate it simply by pressing the button again, noting that the light will go out.
