How to Replace the Key Fob Battery for the Toyota Yaris

If the key fob malfunctions, you may need to replace its battery. Here’s how to do it on the Toyota Yaris.

First, take the key fob and remove the physical key from inside it. Use a lever on the slot created to remove the rear cover, accessing the battery compartment and the electronic board, as shown in the video. At this point, remove the battery and replace it with a new one of the correct type and with the same code.

Insert it in the correct orientation and reassemble the two halves of the key fob!
