To replace the battery in the remote key of a Toyota Corolla, locate the back of the remote and find the small screw that secures the shell. Using a suitable screwdriver, carefully undo this screw and gently open the shell to access the battery compartment. Remove the exhausted battery and insert a new one of the same type, ensuring the correct polarity as indicated inside the compartment. Once the battery is in place, close the shell by aligning the two halves and reinsert the screw to secure it tightly. Check the correct functioning of the remote by pressing the buttons to verify the opening and closing of the doors.
