How to remove the rear seat of a Toyota Corolla MK4

Let’s go through the procedure to remove the rear seat of a Toyota Corolla MK4: first, remove the rear part by grasping the front edge of the cushion and pulling firmly upwards. Underneath, there are two snap brackets that will release with a good pull. Repeat on both sides. Once the base is freed, fold down the backrest: pull the tab near the headrest to unlock it and fold it forward. At this point, look between the two seats: you will find a metal bracket with a 12 mm bolt that you will need to unscrew. After removing the bolt and releasing the two front clips, the entire lower part of the seat will detach completely. No further disassembly is necessary. The space created is dark, so use a torch to clearly identify the bracket.
