How to Remove and Replace the Timing Belt on a Toyota Rav 4

Prepare to remove and replace the timing belt on a Toyota Rav 4. Lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the timing belt cover. Once these operations are complete, use a suitable spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Use a socket wrench to unscrew the tensioner pulley bolt, then remove the water pump as shown in the video. Install the new water pump (if being replaced), the tensioner, and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket wrench. Finally, reattach the engine soundproofing panel and the timing belt cover.
