Detailed instructions - This guide covers the removal of the starter motor on a Toyota Corolla. Lift the car with a jack or column lift to access the piece. Before removing the starter motor, disconnect the battery power cables. Unscrew the securing bolts of the starter motor, disconnect the power terminals of the motor using pliers or a screwdriver depending on the pressure of the tabs. Remove the piece from its seat. Install the new starter motor by connecting the power cables and the associated securing screws. Lower the car and check the engine start.
