How do you dismantle the key fob of the Toyota Yaris? Here’s how to open the key fob and change the battery. Take your key fob and use a screwdriver to pry between the two parts of the key cover.

Pry until the battery cover plastic detaches from the key: separate the plastic sections where the battery fits. Remove the flat battery with a screwdriver and take a new one of the same size and voltage for replacement.

Reassemble the battery cover on the key, and test the key's functionality with the buttons.
