How do you remove the rear light on a Toyota Corolla? To remove the rear light, you first need to take off the cover in the boot. Lift the tailgate and remove the cover on the side of the boot. Unscrew the securing screws to release the rear light from the bodywork. Remove the rear light from its housing: disconnect the electrical connectors from behind the light. Connect the new light to the electrical connectors. Refit the fabric cover on the side of the boot. Close the tailgate. Test the operation of the bulbs in the new light.
