How to open the hood of a Toyota Corolla when the cable is broken

In this video, we will see how to open the front hood of a Toyota Corolla, even if the release cable is broken. First, let's check if the cable is still connected. Remove the brand emblem using a sharp knife, and remove the three screws around the Toyota logo. Unfortunately, to reach the top part, we will have to cut a small part of the radiator grille near the Toyota emblem, using sheet metal shears. The last piece is at the bottom of the logo, so we will need something sharp for that plastic piece. After removing the three screws, we can open the hood. Remove the mechanism and clean it well from dirt and rust, then lubricate it well and put it back in place.
