How to Replace the Remote Key Battery on a Toyota Camry [USA]

To replace the battery in the remote key for the Toyota Camry, you need to extract the spare key from the remote by pressing the button located next to the key itself. Use the spare key to pry it open by twisting it inside the remote housing to release the clips holding the two plastic shells together. Remove the plastic shell with the "Toyota" logo and locate the battery (model CR2032). Use a small screwdriver to pry it out. Take the new battery and insert it, paying attention to the polarity (positive side up). Finally, reposition the back cover of the remote and apply some pressure until the clips snap into place.
