How to Change the Front Headlight of a Toyota Camry

To change the front headlight of a Toyota Camry, you need to remove the front bumper for easier access. Start by opening the hood. Remove the bolt just above the manufacturer's emblem using a 10mm socket wrench. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws on either side of the one you just took out. Now, go under the vehicle and remove the 6 bolts holding the bumper from underneath with a 10mm socket wrench. Move to the left side of the bumper, being careful not to damage the paint. Use a flathead screwdriver to lift the clips holding the splash shield and remove them. Once the splash shield is moved, notice there is another 10mm bolt near the body line that you will remove with a socket wrench. Shift the bumper to detach it from the clips and perform the same operation on the other side. Now, remove the last two clips holding the bumper. Use a flathead screwdriver to lift and then remove them. At this point, the bumper is free, and you can take it off after disconnecting the connectors for the front fog lights. With the bumper removed, you can take out the headlight: unscrew the 3 bolts with a 10mm socket wrench, and using a flathead screwdriver, pry up the plastic of the headlight to extract it. Now you can remove the bulb holders from their sockets by turning them counterclockwise, being careful not to touch the glass of the bulbs. Finally, you can also remove the clip holding the light cable from the headlight and take out the headlight itself. At this point, you can replace the bulbs, clean the contacts, clean the bulb holders, insert the new bulbs into the new headlight, perform the same procedure for the other headlight if necessary, and to reassemble everything, work in reverse order of disassembly.
