How to Change the Key Fob Battery for a Toyota Yaris

To replace the battery in the key fob of a Toyota Yaris, first remove the metal key contained within the fob. Press the button on the side of the fob and simultaneously pull out the key. Next, use a flat-head screwdriver to open the fob; insert the screwdriver tip into the notch on the top edge of the fob (short side) and lever it open. You will now have access to the battery compartment; remove the cover and proceed to extract and replace the battery. Ensure you use the correct battery model, which is a flat CR 2032 type, 3V.
