Replacing the Cabin Air Filter

Model: Toyota Rav 4 Xa20, MK 2 - Years 2000-2006
Part: Cabin air filter

The cabin air filter is located on the passenger side, behind the glove compartment: to access it, open the glove compartment door, press the sides to retract the end stops, and fully fold down the door; once you reach the air duct housing, remove the protective cap of the cabin air filter housing, extract the old filter, remove any dirt residue, and insert the new filter (active carbon filters are recommended) following the airflow direction indicated by the arrows on the filter.
