How to Replace the Cabin Air Filter in a Toyota RAV4

Model: Toyota Rav 4 MK 4, Xa40 - Years 2013-2018

To replace the cabin air filter in a Toyota RAV4, open the glove compartment on the passenger side and remove its contents. Detach the small side damper connected to the glove compartment, then press inward on the two side walls to release the catches and lower the compartment completely. Behind the glove compartment, you will find the cover of the filter housing. Press the fastening tabs and remove it, then slide out the old pollen filter. Clean the inside of the housing from any leaves or debris and insert the new element, respecting the UP indication or the flow direction marked on the filter. Reattach the cover, lift the glove compartment back up until the side catches engage, and reconnect the damper.
