To adjust the handbrake of the Toyota Yaris, you need to completely remove the central tunnel panel of the car: to do this, you will need to loosen the screw located at the rear of the panel, just behind the handbrake lever. Once this screw has been loosened, it will be possible to lift the panel and locate the handbrake mechanism underneath: the nut of the handbrake lever can then be loosened and tightened. In this case, the travel will be reduced and the lever will be harder, while loosening it will increase the travel and the lever will be softer.
